Water Cremation & Funeral Services with Compassionate Care Through The Use of Water

At Cremation Through Water & Funeral Services, we offer a compassionate approach to end-of-life care. Using a dignified water-based cremation process known as alkaline hydrolysis, we provide families with a thoughtful, respectful way to say goodbye — one that aligns with both personal values and environmental responsibility.

A Sustainable Alternative to Traditional Methods

For families who prefer or require traditional flame cremation, we are also able to accommodate

that option upon request.

UnDERSTANDING What it meanS to cremate your loved one utilizing water?

A Natural, Gentle Alternative to Flame Cremation

Cremation Through Water — also known as alkaline hydrolysis or Aquamation — uses warm water and alkalinity, instead of flame. This process accelerates a natural return to the elements in a calm, controlled environment.

Families receive cremated remains just as they would with flame cremation. Because there is no burning and no emissions, the process typically returns approximately 20% more remains.

Cremation through water avoids flame entirely, offering a peaceful alternative that many families find comforting and reassuring.

Environmentally Responsible

Compared to flame cremation, the water-based process uses significantly less energy and produces no direct air emissions — making it one of the most environmentally friendly end-of-life options available today. “Water cremation uses up to 90% less energy than traditional flame cremation and releases no airborne emissions.”

A Thoughtful Choice

For families seeking simplicity, transparency, and intention, cremation through water reflects a deeper sense of care for the person who has passed and for the world they leave behind.

OUR PROCESS

A Respectful, Carefully Guided Process

Dignity and Respect in the Process

Each individual entrusted to our care is treated with dignity at every stage. Through a carefully monitored water-based process, the body is gently returned to its natural elements.

Processing and Return of Ashes

The remaining bone fragments are then processed into fine, pure white ash and returned to the family, just as with traditional cremation.

Reassurance and Transparency

Families can choose a personalized QR code to check the cremation process status and when their loved one’s remains are ready for pickup, offering reassurance and transparency without requiring active engagement.

All the details, explained

We understand that choosing an end-of-life option is deeply personal.

Our care team is here to listen, answer questions, and guide you with compassion.

  • Do I receive cremated remains like traditional cremation?

Yes — and often more. Water cremation returns approximately 20% more remains than flame cremation, allowing everyone in your family to share remains. The remains are lighter in color because they are never exposed to fire, allowing the entire body to be honored without burning.

  • How will I know when my loved one’s cremated remains are ready?

Our care team will always notify you directly when your loved one’s cremated remains are ready. For families who would like additional transparency, we also offer a secure QR code that allows you to view status updates and confirm when remains are available for pickup.

  • How long does the water cremation process take?

The process itself typically takes 4–6 hours. At Cremation Through Water & Funeral Services, families may also choose to be present and witness the process if that feels meaningful to their grieving journey.
